In this episode Trax visits the site of the former Heito, or Pingtung, prisoner of war camp.
Heito was the first of many prisoner of war camps used by the Japanese to house allied prisoners of war. In all camps, prisoners were subjected to terrible conditions and back-breaking manual labour, disease and mistreatment.
We also interview the last living prisoner camp guard of Heito and explore some other historical Japanese relics from the WW2 period.
